The major improvement to curb appeal here means that it’s not only pollinators who stop to enjoy the blooms of this garden.
A steep slope down to the sidewalk defines this site, and terraces have allowed it to become far more functional for the clients. A mix of landforms and hardscape create interest, add stability, and match up with the neighbouring grades. Landings and consistent steps make the stairs much more family friendly, and the reward at the top is a lovely view over the treetops towards the lake. A built-in bench and a mix of furniture encourage informal gathering, making it the perfect spot to sit in the sun.
The back landscape was the second phase of this project and we’re looking forward to sharing more photos once the warm weather arrives.
