Old East York

When we met the client on site for the first time, we realized that this backyard might be the blankest slate we had ever seen in Toronto. Gravel from fence to fence and there weren’t even completed steps from the house.

The task was to create something perfectly tailored to the clients lifestyle; entertaining friends was high on the list, as was extending the feel of the home. A covered deck provides a cozy space for drinks and barbecuing in all weather while a tucked away lounge area provides a destination inviting enough to lure you down from the home and into the garden. A firetable for the chillier nights, a shade sail for respite from the afternoon sun, and a water feature to mask the buzz of the city; this little spot has it all.
